ROBIN GARR

For 30 years Robin has lived in midtown Manhattan, but her first visit to the Big Apple was as a teenager, fulfilling her dreams of showing horses at the National Horse Show in Madison Square Garden. Then, as now, she felt an instant connection to this city as she stood outside MSG holding the lead of a six-year-old Thoroughbred show horse. Both the horse and Robin were enthralled, watching regular New Yorkers stand in line for their breakfast bagel. At that moment she told she father that she was going to live in New York City one day.

After earning her BFA in Fine Arts with a Masters in Art History, she landed in the professional museum world. For the next 25 years she developed a love of researching and creating experiences for the public as a curator and educator. She has always viewed NYC as a “giant museum” that she thrills to explore with friends and family. Therefore, over the years, she reinvented herself as a licensed NYC guide and it has turned out to be the best job she’s ever had.
